All Pets Veterinary Centre is looking for a caring, motivated and hard working Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA) to join our friendly and professional practice. This role is essential in supporting our Veterinary Surgeons and Registered Veterinary Nurses, helping us maintain excellent patient care, high hygiene standards and a warm, supportive environment for clients and their pets.

About the role:
- Salary: £13.59 per hour, equivalent to £28,267.20 per annum
- Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Shift pattern: 9.00 am – 6.00 pm, with a one‑hour unpaid break
Key responsibilities:
- Clean clinical areas, kennels and equipment to maintain excellent hygiene standards
- Exercise, groom and feed hospitalised animals
- Monitor inpatients and report observations to the clinical team
- Assist in preparing theatre, equipment and clinical areas
- Safely restrain animals for examinations and treatment
- Carry out basic laboratory tasks and assist with sample handling
- Dispense medications as directed
- Maintain accurate records and assist with stock management
- Answer telephones, book appointments and assist with general enquiries
- Support reception when required, helping to provide a smooth experience for clients
- Communicate professionally and compassionately with pet owners
- Support the wider team to ensure smooth day‑to‑day operation
About you:
- Minimum 5 GCSEs A*–C (including English, Maths and Science) or equivalent
- Willing attitude, with interest in animal care or an Animal Management course
- You’ll have Entitled Jersey Residential permissions
- Reliable, hard‑working and confident working as part of a team
- Calm, compassionate and professional with animals and clients
- Keen to learn and develop, with interest in progressing into the RVN training pathway
