Unfortunately there are some animals that find the experience of grooming just too stressful to cope with. In these situations it can be kinder, often a lot faster, and safer for everyone involved if the animal is sedated. We can offer a safe hospital environment to provide sedation under veterinary care and monitoring in order for grooming to be carried out. All of our patients undergoing sedation are strictly monitored by a veterinary nurse, have an intravenous catheter placed in case of an emergency and provided with mask oxygen at all times.
We offer basic clipping or dematts for those patients just in need of matts or knots removing and are able to clip nails at the same time. For a professional or breed-standard groom we are able to liaise directly with your groomer to arrange a time and date that is suitable for all parties.
