From Preschool Dress-Up to Pitch-Side Pride!
At All Pets, we believe community is everything, whether we’re supporting local schools, empowering young minds, or cheering on the next generation of athletes. This spring, we’ve had the joy of doing a bit of all three!
Ruth Visits FCJ Preschool
In March, our vet Ruth paid a visit to the wonderful children at FCJ Preschool to talk about what it’s like to be a vet. The little ones were full of curiosity (and brilliant questions!) as Ruth shared what her job involves, from looking after sick pets to using special tools like stethoscopes and otoscopes to check ears, eyes, and hearts.
The hands-on part was definitely the highlight – children got to explore real veterinary equipment, try on surgical gowns, masks, and hats, and giggled their way through taking turns wearing a buster collar (usually used to stop pets from licking wounds!).
It was a fun, educational morning and a great way to inspire the next generation of animal lovers (and maybe even a future vet or two!).
Proud Sponsors of Quackers Ladies Hockey Club
We’re also thrilled to announce our sponsorship of Quackers Ladies Hockey Club, a fantastic local team with a strong community spirit – and a personal connection to the All Pets family.
Quackers not only won us over with their avian-inspired name, but they were also instrumental in shaping vet Emily’s hockey career. Emily started playing hockey in secondary school and, through Quackers and Jersey Hockey’s development pathway, went on to represent the Jersey 1st XI.
“For me, sport has so many positives. It’s a great way to stay fit, get outside, work as a team (and as an individual), set goals, unwind from the day – and most importantly, it’s how I met some of my closest friends. I want to give back to a club that has given me a sport and friendships for life.” – Emily
We’re so proud to support a club that champions sport, community, and connection – values that echo everything we stand for here at All Pets. We’ll be cheering them on from the sidelines this season!
